Sky Turns Red Over Town Near China's Shanghai

"Social media opinion was immediately divided over whether the bizarre sky color was a good
or apocalyptic sign.

A social media video that went viral has shown the sky over Zhoushan, a Chinese city in the vicinity of the lockdown-hit Shanghai, turning red over the weekend.

Aside from the colored sky, the city was also covered with thick fog.

Some social media users suggested that the scarlet sky was a result of an unreported fire, but authorities said no fire existed, according to Shanghai Daily. The video footage sent chills down many people's spine, with some users alleging that "doomsday" was coming." Sputnik

 

Biden Sends First Lady Jill To Warn-Torn Ukraine After Zelensky Urged Him To Come

"It appears the White House PR team has been quite busy trying to get creative in terms of
ways it could display support for Ukraine... short of President Joe Biden actually going there himself (as has been requested and urged by Zelensky). They came up with a Mother's Day "surprise" in the form of first lady Jill Biden traveling to a war zone to meet the first lady of Ukraine for a photo op.

CNN reports of the previously unannounced visit, "First lady Jill Biden spent part of Mother’s Day making an unannounced trip to Uzhhorod, Ukraine, a small city in the far southwestern corner of Ukraine." ZH

Ukraine Says Sank Russian Landing Craft at Snake Island

"Kyiv said it has destroyed another Russian warship near the Black Sea's Snake Island, where  Ukrainian forces were awarded for heroism after rebuffing Russian demands to surrender.

Ukraine's defense ministry said in a statement an armed drone had destroyed a Serna-class landing craft and a missile defense system at the small island under Russian control." MT
