Ukraine will become a member of NATO. Our purpose at the summit is to help build a bridge to that membership."
The meeting will mark the 75th anniversary that the alliance was established. Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg is meanwhile trying to get all 32 members to commit to long-term military funding for Ukraine, to the tune of $100 billion over a five-year period. Ukrainian forces repel 48 enemy attacks in five sectors

"Ukraine's defense forces on Thursday repelled 48 enemy attacks in five sectors of the frontline, including 39 of them on the Bakhmut and Novopavlivka axis. Ukrainian missile forces hit seven enemy targets, including an area of concentration of enemy troops, weapons and military equipment, two artillery systems, a radar, an electronic warfare station, and two air defense assets.
During the day, Russian invaders carried out 2 missile strikes, 61 air strikes and 49 attacks using multiple rocket launchers on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and populated areas. In the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna sectors, the enemy maintains his military presence in the border areas, conducting subversive activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to dangerous sectors and increasing the density of minefields along the state border.
Russian air strikes targeted Volfyne, Sumy region, and Ohirtseve, Kharkiv region.
About 20 settlements in the said two sectors came under Russian mortar and artillery fire, in particular Popivka of the Chernihiv region, Bachivsk and Ulanove of the Sumy region.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations but attacked towns and villages. About 15 settlements came under the artillery and mortar fire of the invaders, including Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Kotliarivka of the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy attacks near Terny and Yampolivka, Donetsk region. Russian troops, supported by aircraft, tried to break through Ukrainian defenses there.
During the day, Russian artillery and mortar strikes hit more than ten settlements in this sector, including Nevske of the Luhansk region, and Terny¸ Yampolivka and Torske of the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled more than 20 enemy attacks outside Bilohorivka and Verkhniokamianka of the Luhansk region, and Spirne, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Klishchiivka and Andriivka of the Donetsk region. Russian troops, supported by aircraft, tried to improve their tactical position there." Ukrin

Israeli police thwart ISIS terror plot against Jerusalem stadium

"Israel's security agency, Shin Bet, says it foiled a plot by three ISIS terrorists to carry out attacks in Jerusalem.
Authorities say two of the men had plans to use explosives and small arms fire in attacks on a police station and at a stadium in east Jerusalem. Both men had pledged support for ISIS and received training from the third ISIS terrorist, who specialized in organizing attacks within Israel, Israeli police said.
"Prior to their apprehension, the two individuals had commenced preparations for executing terrorist attacks, acquiring knowledge in creating explosives and carrying out attacks. Diligent investigations conducted by the Jerusalem District Police and Shin Bet uncovered their intentions to orchestrate explosive charges and shooting attacks against a police station in Jerusalem and the vicinity of Teddy Stadium," Shin Bet wrote in a joint statement with Jerusalem police. Russia launches drone attack on Kharkiv

"Russian troops launched waves of Shahed drones against the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv overnight, killing four people and wounding 12. Three rescuers were killed when Russia struck a multistory building damaged in an earlier strike. Six people were wounded at that location. Another 14-story building was hit by a drone, killing a 69-year-old woman." MS

Iran Rocked By Overnight Terror Attacks As Gunmen Leave 11 Dead, Including IRGC Officer

storming military and police stations, which left at least eleven security service members dead. It happened in the country's restive border province which sits near
Afghanistan and Pakistan.
State media detailed on Thursday that at least 16 suspected Sunni militants were killed during the assaults, which took place in the towns of Chabahar and Rask in Sistan-Baluchestan. The attacks are being widely blamed on Jaish al-Adl ("Army of Justice"), which is a Sunni Baluch separatist organization operating mainly in southeastern Iran. The attack reportedly went on for many hours, with some reports saying it lasted all night into morning, at well over 12 hours in total before the situation was stabilized.
