The strategic bomber Tu-95 MS, is a significant weapon in the Russian arsenal. Known as "bears," their value comes from their extraordinary range that exceeds 6,213.7 miles and their capacity to carry loads up to 22 tons. China acquires US chip manufacturing equipment despite restrictions

"Chinese companies are buying up American chip manufacturing equipment despite several
restrictions imposed by the
United States on the export of such goods, according to Reuters.
An annual report released by the US House of Representatives' bipartisan China Committee says that importers can often buy equipment if they claim it is used on an older production line, and with limited end-use inspection capabilities, it is difficult to verify that it is not being used to create more advanced chips. China has been stockpiling equipment, taking advantage of the gap between the introduction of export restrictions, as the United States announced it in October 2022, and Japan and the Netherlands in July and September 2023, respectively." UK Labour leader hit by frontbench rebellion in Israel-Hamas vote

"Labour leader Keir Starmer was hit by a string of resignations from his frontbench in the
House of Commons on Wednesday night, after facing a rebellion from his MPs over his refusal to back a ceasefire in
Gaza. The vote calling for the ceasefire was defeated by 293 votes to 168, but eight of Starmer's frontbenchers resigned from the frontbench after supporting the amendment.
Labour MPs had been ordered to abstain on the vote and were told instead to back Starmer's position calling for longer "humanitarian pauses" rather than a ceasefire. The row over the Starmer's stance on Israel's war with Hamas has escalated in Labour in the past week.
Starmer -- who looks set to become Britain's next prime minister at an election expected next year, according to polling -- has refused to call for a permanent ceasefire.
Instead, the former human rights lawyer has called for a humanitarian pause to Israel's bombardment to allow much-needed aid to reach ordinary Palestinians unable to leave the coastal enclave.
His stance, however, has caused disquiet within the party." France24

NASA investigating flash over Minnesota that made 'sonic boom'

"Beltrami County Emergency Management, which revealed that the sonic boom was too close to the ground to be a meteor - 'at least not ones that don’t cause regional devastation.'
DailyMail.com obtained an email from Juan Cabanela, a local physicist studying Monday's mysterious event, which states the timing of the boom suggests the object was, at least, no ordinary meteor. 'I still don’t know what it was,' Professor Cabanela shared in the email, 'but I was fairly confident it couldn’t be a meteor.' Aside from the local witnesses to the bright flash and the thunderous boom, three videos were obtained by Chris Muller, director of Beltrami County Emergency Management. 'If it was anything that would have been airborne, it should have been picked up by radars,' Muller said. 'We did check with the [National] Weather Service, and they didn't have anything on the radar. They also did not have any lightning detected.' 'So, we're actually leaning towards that this was something that was on or near the ground.'"

Hundreds of Pro-Israel Demonstrators Left Stranded on Tarmac after Bus Drivers Coordinate ‘Antisemitic’ Strike

"Hundreds of Jewish Americans, on their way to Tuesday’s March for Israel at the National Mall in D.C., were left stranded on the tarmac of a local airport after their bus drivers
coordinated a “mass sick out” day to prevent the travelers from attending the rally.
Around 300 of the 900 passengers flown in by the
Jewish Federation of Detroit were left on tarmac of Dulles International Airport for nearly eleven hours, causing them to miss the entire March for Israel event before being sent back home. When several buses failed to appear upon their 10:30 a.m. landing, many travelers had no way to leave the tarmac.
Those who were left behind spent roughly three hours on the tarmac before they were loaded onto several buses — only to be told that the buses were not for their group and that they had to offload immediately. The federation was not allowed to leave for Detroit until 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning — leaving those who had made it to the rally waiting for several hours outside the airport. Some in the group hadn’t eaten all day." NationalReview
