"Officials say a powerful solar storm will hit Earth and its arrival could cause infrastructure problems.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) issued an alert Thursday for a Severe (G4) Geomagnetic Solar Storm Watch after approximately five “earth-directed coronal mass ejections” (CMEs) were seen and expected to reach Earth, Insider Paper reported. It is the first G4 storm watch issued since 2005, according to 12 News. The NOAA also said “these storms have the potential to affect infrastructure both in near-Earth orbit and on the Earth’s surface, possibly disrupting communication systems, the electric grid, navigation, radio, and satellite operations,” according to Insider Paper." Zelensky's top bodyguard suffers consequences after alleged assassination attempt
"President Zelensky fired the head of the department responsible for his personal protection after two of its officers were detained this week over an alleged assassination plot. Zelensky published a decree to "dismiss Sergiy Leonidovich Rud from the post of head of the State Protection Department of Ukraine".... detained two colonels from the bodyguard department on suspicion of passing secret information to Russia's rival FSB security service.
One of them, it alleged, had personally provided rocket rounds, drones, and anti-personnel mines for an agent to carry out attacks.The 47-year-old Rud had headed the department – which oversees the personal security of the president, other senior officials and their families – since 2019." MS
