Strikes on Ukraine's Most Prized Assets Raise Alarm

"As Russia appears to enjoy a run of success targeting some of Ukraine's most prized
equipment, Moscow is reaping the rewards of both evolving tactics among its soldiers and the bite of military aid shortages in Kyiv.
Within approximately the last two weeks,
Russia has said its forces have destroyed a handful of Ukrainian-operated Abrams tanks and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, and U.S.-donated HIMARS, or High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems. Russia's Defense Ministry published footage appearing to show a cluster munition strike on Ukrainian transport helicopters in eastern Ukraine. The apparently successful strikes on Ukrainian equipment Russia has doggedly targeted in quick succession likely reflects both an adapting Moscow and gaps in Ukraine's Western-dependent arsenal, experts have suggested." Kiev launches cross-border attack into Kursk Region

"
Ukrainian forces have attempted a second incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region in the last 48 hours....Russian border guards and military troops will not allow “Ukrainian terrorists” to enter the country, Governor Roman Starovoyt said on social media. Tyotkino, which is located on the border with Ukraine, was the subject of a failed propaganda stunt by the militias, one of which released a video claiming to show its fighters inside the settlement. This was quickly disproven, as geolocation data confirmed that the video was filmed in a nearby Ukrainian village." RT

South Africa Says Its Citizens Serving In Israel's Military Will Be Arrested

"Many American, British, European and other foreign-born men and women have long served
in the
Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and often they are dual citizens. As an example, earlier this week Israel announced the death of 19-year old Sgt. Itay Chen, a dual US-Israeli citizen who had been serving in the IDF, at the hands of Hamas.
But South Africa has issued a new declaration forbidding its citizens from joining or assisting in any way with the Israeli military." ZH

Pentagon sends elite squad of anti-terror Marines into Haiti to rescue trapped Americans

"The Pentagon is sending further anti-terrorism Marines to Haiti to strengthen security at the
American embassy just 24 hours after the prime minister was forced to resign amid threats of a civil war.
The elite F.A.S.T team was sent to the region as gang violence continues to rage on the streets, with influential gang leader Jimmy "Barbecue" Cherizier calling for "bloody revolution". Ex-PM Ariel Henry had led the country supposedly on an interim basis since July 2021 after the country's President Jovenel Moïse's was assassinated, but provoked public anger by repeatedly pushing back elections, insisting security had to be restored first.
Heavily armed gangs have tightened their on the capital, and attacked the main prison to help release thousands of inmates, as they called for Henry to quit.
A Republican lawmaker who helped rescue Americans stranded during the violence accused the Biden administration of a "pattern of abandonment" of U.S. citizens, over his response of the crisis." AP

Poll: Netanyahu Tops Rivals as Biden Pressure Campaign Fails

"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is far ahead of his political rivals, and right-wing parties would win another election if it were held today, according to a poll released
Wednesday by
Israel’s Channel 14.
The result led to speculation that pressure from the Biden administration has united Israelis behind Netanyahu as the only leader capable of standing up to the White House on issues such as a Palestinian state and defeating Hamas.
Biden has tried to press Israel to accept a Palestinian state after the war, which Netanyahu has said would be a massive reward to Hamas for terror. Biden has also pressured Israel not to attack Hamas in its last stronghold in the town of Rafah..... the poll found that Netanyahu is preferred to Blue and White Leader Benny Gantz by 47% to 37%, and that he is preferred over opposition leader Yair Lapid of the Yesh Atid Party by an even wider margin of 48% to 28%."
