U.S. acknowledges for the first time that it has deployed weapons in space
"The United States has confirmed for the first time that it has deployed weapons in space.
Air Force Secretary Troy Meink told the Air and Space Cyber Conference in Maryland on Monday that the U.S. has fielded “on-orbit space control weapons capable of defending the Joint Force against hostile adversary action.”Meink did not detail what the weapons were or how they work. In 2024 the U.S. said Russia was developing a new anti-satellite weapon that could be launched from space. At the time the White House said the danger wasn’t imminent. But reports of the anti-satellite weapon reflected longstanding worries about space threats from Russia and China, given that much U.S. infrastructure is dependent on satellite communications.
In his remarks, Meink also said the Air Force was adding more autonomous systems to its capabilities and predicted the service would look “radically different” by 2032. For example, he foresaw one-way attack drones replacing artillery as the “primary killer.”" Breitbart

Apocalypse Alert System Goes Live As NASA Issues Dire Warning!
"NASA has released a surprising new warning suggesting scientists may have underestimated howseverely an extreme solar storm could affect Earth. Researchers say a powerful space weather event could disrupt satellites, GPS navigation, communications, and portions of the electrical grid, while admitting there may be no clearly defined upper limit to the planet’s response.
NASA's Gddard Space Flight Center are warning that miscalculations and false assumptions may have resulted in an enormous underestimation of the worst case effects of a solar storm. NASA scientists are now saying there may be no such limit to the destructive energy that could rain down on the world. They derive that suspicion from more than a million data points where solar wind was gauged by NASA craft in Earth's orbit."

Strongest Solar Storm Since 2024 To Hit 22 States Within Hours
"The sun unleashed a rare and powerful double eruption this week, sending two massive X-class solar flares from sunspot AR4274 hurtling toward Earth. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) responded by issuing a G3 (Strong) geomagnetic storm watch after the flares erupted. These events set off a chain reaction of space weather effects, putting scientists, power grid operators, and skywatchers on high alert as Earth braced for impact.
Earth’s primary early-warning system for solar storms is a satellite stationed a million miles away at Lagrange Point 1. This Solar Wind Observatory monitors incoming solar activity and provides operators with just 30 to 60 minutes of warning once a CME’s speed and polarity are confirmed. That brief window is critical for power grid operators and satellite controllers to take protective action. However, NOAA has acknowledged that the current L1 spacecraft is outdated. Its replacement, the SWFO-L1 satellite, is not expected to be operational until mid-2026. Until then, the world relies on aging technology to provide warnings measured in minutes, not hours—a precarious situation for modern infrastructure.
The November 2025 solar storm is more than a sky show—it is a stark reminder of the vulnerability of modern society to space weather." msn

Mysterious Asteroids Near Venus Could Slam Into Earth Soon
"Somewhere in the orbit of Venus, scientists believe a hidden population of asteroids is circling the Sun—nearly invisible to Earth-bound telescopes and possibly capable of striking our planet with very little warning.A recent study led by Valerio Carruba, an astronomer at São Paulo State University in Brazil. His team published findings in Astronomy & Astrophysics that paint a detailed and slightly alarming picture of what’s known as Venusian co-orbital asteroids—a category of objects few people outside of planetary science have even heard of.
“We can’t detect them with current telescopes,” Carruba explained in an interview,

He warns that some of these objects might be as large as 300 meters wide—enough to create a crater several kilometers across and release energy comparable to “hundreds of megatons.” msn
Astronomers track “unexplained object” past Pluto
"The cosmos has once again presented us with a mystery. Astronomers have recently tracked an unidentified object moving past Pluto, the dwarf planet at the edge of our solar system. This discovery has sparked a flurry of interest and speculation in the scientific community. The object’s unusual trajectory and speed immediately caught the attention of the scientists, prompting a more detailed investigation.
A detailed examination of the object’s path revealed that it was moving at an unusually high speed, far surpassing that of known celestial bodies in the same region. Its trajectory also deviated significantly from the typical paths of asteroids and comets, adding to the mystery surrounding the object.
Preliminary observations suggest that it is significantly larger than typical asteroids or comets in our solar system. Its shape and composition, however, remain unknown, as current technology limits our ability to study distant objects in detail." msn

New microbe discovered aboard Chinese space station
"Scientists have identified a new microbe that developed on board China's Tiangong space station, according to a new study. The strain, officially named niallia tiangongensis, is a new variant of a terrestrial bacteria and was found in a cabin inside the space station.
The discovery holds major implications for future space missions, astronaut health, and biosecurity.
Niallia tiangongensis demonstrated noteworthy resilience to space-specific stressors, including enhanced repair from radiation damage and the ability to survive oxidative stress—factors critical for maintaining long-term spaceflight safety.
Samples were stored at very low temperatures, returned to Earth, and subjected to genomic, metabolic, and phylogenetic analysis.
Researchers found that the new strain belongs to the genus niallia in the family cyto bacillaceae, but is genetically distinct from known relatives on Earth." ms
