Ukrainian Men Paying Disabled Women To Marry Them To Avoid Frontlines

"Ukrainian men are reportedly paying disabled women in the country to marry them, as a way of avoiding being drafted to fight on the frontlines of the war with Russia. An investigation by Ukrainian outlet NGL Media found that fighting age men are exploiting a loophole in the country’s martial law that allows them to skip military service.
If they have a disabled dependent, they are able to apply for a deferral from military duty as well as being allowed to cross the border, at which point many are fleeing for good." ZH

Russian nuclear fuel ship detained in German port

"In the seaport of Rostock in Germany, the Atlantic Navigator II ship, on board of which enriched uranium was found, is docked.
According to the newspaper, the ship has been at the international port for more than three weeks and has not been able to leave. It is a Russian vessel carrying goods that violate EU sanctions....the ship is carrying birch wood and enriched uranium for nuclear power plants in the United States. These goods are on the EU sanctions lists and therefore cannot be shipped from Rostock." MS

Israel launches strikes on eastern Lebanon after Hezbollah downs drone

"Israel said it launched air strikes on eastern Lebanon and hit Hezbollah infrastructure sites early on Sunday after the armed group downed an Israeli drone, as both sides continue to trade fire amid escalating regional tensions.
The Israeli army said in a statement that fighter jets struck a military complex and three other sites belonging to Hezbollah in the eastern city of Baalbek." MS

Ukraine strikes Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant power unit dome

"Ukraine attacked the Russian-held Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant on Sunday, including a strike on the dome of the plant's sixth power unit that caused no damage, the plant's Russian-installed administration said in a statement.

Ecuador justifies Mexican embassy raid

"Ecuador justified storming the Mexican embassy in Quito by saying that the decision was made by President Daniel Noboa to prevent the “imminent flight” of the country’s former vice president, Jorge Glas, who had sought refuge at the mission. Glas fled to the embassy last year after being sentenced to six years in prison for bribery and corruption. Mexico subsequently spurned Ecuador’s repeated requests for permission to arrest the politician." RT

57 combat clashes in seven sectors of frontline in past 24 hours

"Fifty-seven combat engagements were recorded in seven sectors of the frontline in Ukraine in the last 24 hours, most of them in the Novopavlivka sector. More than a hundred settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire. In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian soldiers repelled seven enemy attacks near Terny, Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defenses of Ukrainian troops.
In the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 14 attacks outside Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, Verkhniokamianske, Vyimka, Spirne, Bohdanivka and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian forces repelled five attacks near Novokalynove, Berdychi and Netailove in the Donetsk region.
On the Novopavlivka axis, Ukraine's defense forces continued to hold off the enemy near Novomykhailivka and Heorhiivka, where the enemy, supported by aircraft, made 21 attempts to break through the defenses of Ukrainian troops.
In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy launched two attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Staromaiorske, Donetsk region, and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson sector, the enemy did not abandon his intention to dislodge Ukrainian units from the bridgeheads on the east (left) bank of the Dnipro. In the past day, the enemy launched six unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops." UKRIN
