Musk secretly met with Iran’s UN envoy

"Tech billionaire Elon Musk, a close ally of US President-elect Donald Trump, met with the Iranian ambassador to the UN earlier this week, the New York Times reported on Thursday,

citing two unnamed Iranian officials.
According to the NYT, Musk’s meeting with Amir Saeid Iravani took place in New York on Monday and was described by the paper’s Iranian sources as an attempt to “defuse tensions” between the US and Iran. The conversation was “positive” and “good news,” Iranian sources said.
Musk, who owns SpaceX, Tesla, and the social media platform X, has not commented on the matter. Trump spokesman Steven Cheung told the NYT that the president-elect would not comment on “reports of private meetings that did or did not occur.” The Iranian mission to the UN also declined to comment, according to the Washington Post." 88 clashes on frontline, most intense fighting on Kurakhove axis

"88 combat clashes on the frontline. In the Kharkiv sector, there was one clash near the settlement of Hlyboke.
In the Kupiansk sector, the Russian invaders attacked the Ukrainian Defense Forces ten times near Holubivka, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Hlushkivka, Zelenyi Hai, Zahryzove, Kruhliakivka, Pershotravneve, and Lozova.

In the Lyman sector, the Russian forces launched seven attacks on the Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Katerynivka, Druzheliubivka, Nevske, Terny, and Torske. In the Serebriansky Forest area, the enemy conducted airstrikes using unguided rockets.
The invaders are trying to find weak spots in the Ukrainian defense near Verkhniokamianske in Siversk sector. Two clashes ended unsuccessfully for the enemy.
The settlement of Chasiv Yar in the Kramatorsk sector suffered an airstrike with a guided bomb.
In the Toretsk sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled four assault actions by the enemy near Dyliivka, Toretsk, and Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the Russian invaders made 14 attempts to dislodge the Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Promin, Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Pushkine, Zhovte, and Pustynka. The Ukrainian forces are holding back the pressure, having repelled eight attacks, with six more clashes ongoing.
In the Kurakhove sector, the enemy attacked 25 times towards the settlements of Berestky, Sontsivka, Illinka, Novoselydivka, Zoria, Dalnie, and Kostiantynivka. Eighteen attempts by the invaders to advance have already been repelled. Additionally, the enemy dropped four guided air bombs on the settlements of Romanivka and Dachne.
In the Vremivka sector, the enemy tried eight times to break through the Ukrainian defenses near Trudove, Yantarne, Rivnopil, and Novodarivka, and dropped 15 guided aerial bombs on Temyrivka, Sukhi Yaly, Velyka Novosilka, and Shevchenko.

One Attacker Dead in Brazil Supreme Court Suicide Bombing

"A man killed himself with an explosive device outside of Brazil’s Supreme Federal Tribunal’s (STF) on Wednesday evening in what Brazilian police have described as a suicide attack.
Brazilian police identified the man as Francisco Wanderley Luiz, a 59-year-old man and locksmith by trade colloquially referred to as “Tiu França.” Luiz unsuccessfully ran for councilor in the 2020 local elections as a candidate for the Liberal Party (PL).

The man reportedly attempted to break into the STF building, killing himself by setting off an explosive attached to the back of his neck after he failed to enter the building.
According to initial reports, two explosions detonated at around 07:30 p.m. local time. The first explosion came from a vehicle in a parking lot near the STF building and the second one occurred about 20 seconds later, killing the suspected assailant. Other than Wanderley Luiz, the attack caused no other casualties. The vehicle where the first explosives detonated was registered under Luiz’s name.
The incident is being investigated by the Brazilian Federal Police as a terrorist attack. Officials from the Brazilian Military Police deactivated four other suspicious objects near the man’s corpse in the early hours of Thursday morning. Military Police also raided the man’s home finding booby traps with bombs, one of which reportedly went off.
He allegedly claimed he chose November 13 to carry out the attack because the number 13 is used to identify the ruling leftist Worker’s Party (PT) in local elections.
In one such message, Metropoles stated, Wanderley Luiz allegedly wrote, “Be careful when opening drawers, cabinets, shelves, material storage, etc,” followed with “Start: 5:48 pm on 11/13/2024. The game ends on 11/16/2024. Good luck!”
