56 combat engagements occur on front

"Fifty-six military clashes have occurred on the front between
Ukraine’s Defense Forces and Russian occupiers in the past 24 hours. Russian troops launched one missile strike and 31 air strikes, and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 24 times on Ukrainian positions and settlements.In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, Russian invaders are maintaining military presence within the border areas, conducting sabotage activities and shelling border settlements from Russia’s territory. About 20 settlements were affected by Russian artillery. In the Kupiansk direction, Russians conducted assault actions near the Kharkiv region’s Synkivka. Ukrainian forces repelled seven enemy attacks. About 10 settlements were affected by enemy artillery and mortar strikes.

"A U.S. Navy warship and multiple commercial vessels came under attack Sunday in the Red Sea, the Pentagon said, marking a potential escalation in a series of maritime attacks in the Mideast linked to the Israel-Hamas war.
We’re aware of reports regarding attacks on the USS Carney and commercial vessels in the Red Sea and will provide information as it becomes available,” the Pentagon confirmed...A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence matters, said the attack began about 10 a.m. in Sanaa, Yemen, and had been going on for as much as five hours." Former US ambassador accused of serving as an agent of Cuba arrested in Florida


"A former American diplomat who served as U.S. ambassador to Bolivia has been arrested in a long-running FBI counterintelligence investigation, accused of secretly serving as an agent of Cuba’s government, the Associated Press has learned.
Manuel Rocha, 73, was arrested in Miami.....Rocha’s wife, Karla Wittkop Rocha, would not comment when contacted by the AP. “I don’t need to talk to you,” she said before hanging up." MS

bombing during a Catholic mass in the country’s south that killed four people and wounded dozens of others. ⁠⁠
The bomb went off during in a gymnasium at Mindanao State University in southern Marawi city, officials said. The military has confirmed that the blast killed four people, including three women. At least 50 others were brought to two hospitals for treatment. Six of the wounded were fighting for their lives in a hospital.
ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack, saying on its Telegram channels: "The soldiers of the caliphate detonated an explosive device on a large gathering of Christians…in the city of Marawi." FOX

"The United States has reportedly raised concerns at the “senior-most” levels with India regarding an alleged plot to assassinate Sikh separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun on American soil....The intended target, Mr. Pannun, a U.S.-Canada dual national, is known for advocating an independent Sikh homeland and has been labeled a terrorist by India.
