Russians Invade Alaskan Island to Seek Asylum, Escape Military Service

Deadly blast hits arms plant in Eastern Europe

"An explosion at a Bulgarian weapons factory has left at least three people dead and one other
injured, destroying much of the facility and prompting a full evacuation of the premises, according to local officials.
District prosecutors said the blast occurred at a plant run by weapons maker Arsenal in the city of Kazanlak. Though officials initially said the explosion had claimed the life of a 55-year-old man who worked at the factory, they have since confirmed the deaths of two female employees aged 53 and 43. One other woman remains in the hospital after suffering serious injuries in the explosion." RT

Putin Approval Dips For First Time After Ukraine Invasion

Putin’s
approval rating has dipped.
 
As Statista's Katharina Buchholz details, according to a survey by the independent institute Levada Center, the invasion had initially boosted Putin’s popularity at home in Russia. As the Russian military forces continue to sustain losses and a partial mobilization of the population was announced, presidential approval took a dive in September, however.
That month, a still-high 77 percent of Russians said they approved of Putin, down from 83 percent in August." ZH

Russian nuclear submarine armed with 'doomsday' weapon disappears from Arctic harbor

"A top-of-the-line Russian nuclear-powered submarine has gone missing from its harbor in the
Arctic along with its rumored "doomsday weapon," according to multiple reports.
NATO has reportedly warned members that Russia's Belgorod submarine no longer appeared to be operating out of its White Sea base, where it has been active since July. Officials warned that Russia may plan to test Belgorod's "Poseidon" weapons system, a drone equipped with a nuclear bomb that Russia has claimed is capable of creating a "radioactive tsunami," according to Italian media."
