Indian ship sinks near Yemen after attack

was attacked. All 14 crew members – 13 Indians and one Yemeni national – were rescued by Yemeni forces.
The MSV Faize Noore Oliya was reportedly struck by a projectile south of the port city of Hodeidah, which is under the control of the Houthi rebels." RT

India Summons Russian Envoy, Furious At Mass Casualty Tanker Strike In Black Sea

Tragically, there's a mounting death toll among crew members caught in the crossfire. One of the biggest single casualty events - if not the biggest - was the result of a Russian attack on the Golden Leo, a Guinea-Bissau-flagged ship, on Sunday. Three cruise missiles reportedly hit the vessel, killing ten people, including four Indian citizens. The other dead were from Syria, and one Ukrainian, and the incident has outraged these countries, especailly India. New Delhi further expressed "grave concerns and unequivocal condemnation" of the attack and told Ladanov to convey to the Kremlin that "the targeting of commercial shipping and the resulting loss of innocent civilian lives are unacceptable and must be avoided."

Ukrainians injured in Iranian strikes on tankers in Strait of Hormuz

"Iranian cruise missiles struck two Emirati tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, killing one crew

member and injuring eight, including two Ukrainians, the Emirati Defense Ministry reported on July 14.
Two missiles struck the Mombasa and Al Bahiyah tankers as they transited the southern shipping lane of the Strait of Hormuz, within Omani territorial waters, the ministry said.

Trump and Modi announce US-India trade deal

“Out of friendship and respect for Prime Minister Modi, and as per his request, effective immediately, we agreed to a trade deal between the United States and India, whereby the United States will charge a reciprocal tariff, lowering it from 25% to 18%,” Trump said. “They will likewise move forward to reduce their tariff and non-tariff barriers against the United States to zero.”

Magnitude 5.7 earthquake jolts Bangladesh

"At least three people were killed and several injured after a magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck

Bangladesh on Friday, police said, with buildings damaged in many areas including Dhaka, the densely populated capital.
Tremors were felt in eastern states in neighbouring India that border Bangladesh.
City residents rushed out of their homes as buildings shook and some makeshift structures collapsed, Reuters witnesses said.
Three people were killed when the railing of a six-storey building collapsed during the earthquake, police said.
"We felt a strong jolt and buildings were shaking like trees," said Suman Rahman, a Dhaka resident. "Staircases were jammed as people rushed down. Everyone was terrified, children were crying."

India assures White House it will stop buying Russian oil, Trump says
