Costa Rica shortly after midnight at 12.11 am local time (America/Costa Rica GMT -6). The quake had a very shallow depth of 22 km (14 mi) and was not felt (or at least not reported so)." VD

5.1 Earthquake - North Pacific Ocean, Provincia de Puntarenas, 81 km southwest of San Isidro, Costa Rica

"A strong magnitude 5.1 earthquake occurred in the North Pacific Ocean near the coast of Provincia de Puntarenas, Costa Rica, around noon at 12.41 pm local time (GMT -6). The quake had a very shallow depth of 8 km (5 mi) and was felt widely in the area. The shallow depth of the quake caused it to be felt more strongly near the epicenter than a deeper quake of similar magnitude would." VD

5.4 Earthquake - North Pacific Ocean, Provincia de Puntarenas, 73 km southwest of San Isidro, Costa Rica

"A strong magnitude 5.4 earthquake occurred in the North Pacific Ocean near the coast of

Costa Rica in the afternoon at 4.36 pm local time (America/Costa Rica GMT -6). The depth of the quake could not be determined, but is assumed to be shallow. The earthquake was felt over a large region.. The shallow depth of the quake caused it to be felt more strongly near the epicenter than a deeper quake of similar magnitude would.' VD

"A strong magnitude 5.9 earthquake occurred in the North Pacific Ocean near the coast of Provincia de San Jose, Costa Rica at 03:57 GMT. The quake had a very shallow depth of 31 km (19 mi) and was felt over a large region. The shallow depth of the quake caused it to be felt more strongly near the epicenter than a deeper quake of similar magnitude would." VD
