Indian Refineries Reject Russian Oil on US-Sanctioned Sovcomflot Tankers Amid Sanctions Pressure

"India, which has become a key global player in the oil market, is steering clear of Russian crude oil delivered by tankers operated by Russia’s largest shipping company, Sovcomflot, as it grapples with new sanctions imposed by the United States. Indian oil refineries are reportedly refusing to accept deliveries carried by vessels linked to Sovcomflot, which falls under the ambit of fresh sanctions announced by the U.S. government last month in response to Russia’s continued aggression in Ukraine and the death of jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny."
