‘Terrorist’ inmates take hostages in Russian prison

"Two law enforcement officers have been freed after being taken hostage by a group of inmates at a prison in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don. Several outlets reported that the perpetrators had been charged with terrorism. The Baza Telegram channel claimed that there were six perpetrators, three of which had been sentenced to lengthy prison terms after being found guilty of belonging to the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) terrorist organization and preparing a terrorist attack on the Supreme Court in the Karachaevo-Cherkessian Republic in southern Russia."
