Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Grushko told RBK on Wednesday that Francken’s words were in line with “the atmosphere of military psychosis” prevalent in Western Europe." RT

'Not Playing Games': Trump Responds To Putin Testing 'Invincible' Nuclear Cruise Missile

"Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday touted a successful test of his military's new "invincible" nuclear-capable cruise missile, which means a next step of actually deploying the doomsday weapon as part of Russia's strategic arsenal.
Putin oversaw the test in a video released by the Kremlin while dressed in military fatigues, which included him ordering his top general to start preparing the Burevestnik missile for integration into active forces. "We need to determine the possible uses and begin preparing the infrastructure for deploying these weapons to our armed forces," Putin sated.
President Donald Trump has reacted to the announcement in an early Monday statement, saying it is "not appropriate" amid ratcheting tensions between Moscow and Washington and as peace talks have stalled.
Trump described that Putin should focus on ending the war with Ukraine rather than testing missiles. He was pressed on the issue by reporters on Air Force One regarding the nuclear test.
"They know we have a nuclear submarine, the greatest in the world, right off their shores," Trump posited in response. "We don’t need to go 8,000 miles. Putin ought to end the war — a war that should’ve taken one week is now in its fourth year," he continued. "That's what he ought to do instead of testing missiles."
But he also noted of the US military, "We test missiles all the time." He said this to perhaps downplay the seriousness of the event in the exchange with reporters:
"They are not playing games with us. We are not playing games with them either. We test missiles all the time," he said.
While Russia first disclosed the test on Sunday, it actually took place on October 21 according to the Kremlin announcement." ZeroHedge

Russia withdraws from US deal to dispose of plutonium for thousands of warheads

"Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law formally withdrawing from the Plutonium Management and Disposition Agreement with the U.S.

The Russian parliament passed the denunciation bill in early October, paving the way for Putin's formal withdrawal. The decision effectively ends one of the last remaining post-Cold War nuclear security agreements between Moscow and Washington.

Two earthquakes rattle Russia

"Two earthquakes shook
Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula. The ongoing seismic activity in Russia’s Kamchatka region highlights the persistent threat posed by the Pacific Ring of Fire, a tectonic zone responsible for frequent and sometimes catastrophic earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
The pair of earthquakes that struck were both moderate in strength, measuring at 5.2 and 5.3 magnitude, according to the USGS.
The USGS has recorded at least 13 distinct earthquakes off the Kamchatka Peninsula in early October, ranging from magnitude 4.4 to 6.1 and at depths of 6 to 46 miles, about 10 to 75 kilometers." Newsweek

'I'm not going to be wasting my time' — Trump rules out Putin meeting without Ukraine peace progress

"President Donald Trump said that he does not plan to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin
unless he sees a clear path to a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
"We're going to have to know that we're going to make a deal. I'm not going to be wasting my time," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One. "I've always had a great relationship with Vladimir Putin, but this has been very disappointing."
Trump said he had expected peace in Ukraine to be easier to achieve than other diplomatic breakthroughs. "I thought this would have gone long before peace in the Middle East… if you look at India and Pakistan, I could say almost any one of the deals that I've already done, I thought would have been more difficult than Russia and Ukraine. But it didn't work out that way.
There's a lot of hatred between the two — between Zelensky and Putin. There's tremendous hatred." KI

48 Bags with Human Remains Found in Cartel-Controlled Mexican State …So Far

"Authorities in Mexico confirmed the discovery of 48 bags with human remains so far at the most recent clandestine gravesite in the cartel-controlled state of Jalisco. The state is
controlled by Cartel Jalisco New Generation, one of the six
Mexican cartels designated as foreign terrorist organizations by the Trump administration.
This week, the Jalisco Attorney General’s Office revealed that they had discovered so far a total of 48 bags filled with human remains at a clandestine gravesite in a rural part of the outskirts of the city of Zapopan. This city is adjacent to the state capital of Guadalajara and has become part of a large metropolitan area.
According to authorities, they have not been able to determine how many bodies are in those 48 bags, and officials have not yet been able to identify the victims. The case highlights the widespread massacres that CJNG has carried out. The terrorist organization has been linked to numerous killing fields and thousands of abductions where the victims have never been found."

Trump Wants New "Golden Fleet" Of Future Battleships For Hemispheric Defense

"President Trump's Monroe Doctrine 2.0 plan, focused on hemispheric defense, centers on
securing the homeland and the wider Western Hemisphere. The first visible military reposturing came with Trump's announcement of the
Golden Dome continental missile defense shield, followed by renewed pressure on Venezuelan narco-terror networks and new attention on far-left political influence operations being exported from South America.
Prioritizing the Western Hemisphere after decades of endless wars in the Middle East may also require upgrading America's naval fleet, as the proliferation of hypersonic weapons and drones by foreign adversaries could render some warships in the current fleet obsolete.
The replacement fleet of next-generation warships, referred to internally as the "Golden Fleet" by senior White House and Navy officials, is intended to secure the Western Hemisphere as the world moves toward a bipolar state in the 2030s, repel Chinese influence in the Americas, and maintain a naval edge in the Pacific theater."
