Civilians killed in strikes on Donetsk with US-made weapons

"The
Ukrainian military struck the city of Donetsk with a US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher killing at least four civilians and injuring four more, according to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin. The rockets were equipped with shrapnel munitions, he added.
Two women and two men died in the strike, Pushilin said. Another woman was severely injured and three others sustained moderate injuries, he added." RT

Anti-migrant protests flare up in EU state

"Anti-migrant protesters in Spain clashed with police after a man of Malian origin was
detained on charges of raping a young local woman. The unrest broke out outside a migrant center in Alcala de Henares, a suburb of Madrid.

Police earlier arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with the brutal rape of a Spanish woman of the same age near the center last weekend. The suspect allegedly beat and sexually assaulted the victim before fleeing. However, he was subsequently identified based on surveillance footage as one of the asylum seekers living in the migrant center. He has been placed in provisional detention without bail." RT

91 clashes on frontline

"Since the beginning of the day there have been 91 combat clashes between Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors,
Ukrainian forces repelled 15 attacks. Russia launched four airstrikes, dropping 10 guided bombs, and conducted 121 shelling attacks, including five from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector,
Ukrainian troops repelled two Russian attacks. Fighting continues near Vovchansk as the enemy attempts to advance.
In the Kupiansk sector,
Russian troops made two attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses near Holubivka and Kolodiazi.
In the Lyman sector,
Russian forces carried out 15 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Novoiehorivka, Hrekivka, Karpivka, Zelena Dolyna, Myrne, Torske, Hryhorivka. Three clashes are still ongoing.
In the Siversk sector, the
Russians launched three assaults near Verkhniokamianske and Ivano-Darivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the
Ukrainian defenders repelled one attack near Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk sector, the
Russians launched two assaults near Toretsk and Rusyn Yar. One battle is still in progress.
In the Pokrovsk sector,
Russian troops made 30 attempts to dislodge Ukrainian forces from their positions near Poltavka, Malynivka, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Shevchenko, Zvirove, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Muravka, Novopavlivka, Oleksiivka, and toward Volodymyrivka, Serhiivka, and Pokrovsk. Ukrainian Defense Forces have already repelled 25 attacks, while five clashes are still underway. Russian aircraft dropped bombs on Pokrovsk.
In the Novopavlivka sector,
Russian troops tried to breach Ukrainian lines near Zirka, Tolstoi, Voskresenka, Shevchenko, and Novopil. Ukrainian forces have repelled four assaults; five battles are still ongoing.
In the Huliaipole sector,
Russian troops launched seven attacks near Malynivka; five engagements are still in progress.
In the Orikhiv sector,
Russian forces carried out four attacks near Kamianske.
In the Prydniprovske sector, Ukrainian troops repelled one assault, while

Flash floods damage hundreds of homes in northern Thailand

"Flash floods triggered by heavy rains damaged more than 150 homes in northern Thailand. The torrential downpour struck Chiang Rai spawning floods that reached up to four feet deep. Footage shows the deluge surging across a field as floodwaters ravaged 80 acres of farmland.
Classes were suspended as roads were rendered impassable to many cars.
Thailand's Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department said it was closely monitoring the situation, warning that persistent rainfall will continue to lash the region. Residents, including those living in foothill and riverside communities, have been urged to evacuate to higher ground.
