"Russia has slammed the UK after it threatened to interdict, board, and seize vessels in British waters that it considers to be part of the alleged Russian ‘shadow fleet.’
Moscow has denied operating a shadow fleet and has condemned the seizure of vessels on the high seas, calling it “piracy.”
In a statement on Wednesday, Downing Street said London would coordinate with its allies in the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) – a group of ten European NATO members – to “close off UK waters, including the [English] Channel, for sanctioned vessels.” RT

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy twice attempted to storm Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Starytsia and Zybyne.In the Kupiansk sector, the aggressor attacked once near the settlement of Novoosynove.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy launched eight attacks, attempting to break through defenses near Nadiia, Tverdokhlibove, Drobysheve, Stavky, and Lyman.
In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled four attempts by the occupiers to advance near Platonivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Riznykivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out 23 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Berestok, Stepanivka, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 42 assault actions in the areas of Shakhove, Novopidhordne, Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Pokrovsk, and Molodetske, as well as toward Hannivka, Novyi Donbas, Kucheriv Yar, and Svitłe.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy attacked ten times near Oleksandrohrad, Vyshneve, and Krasnohirsk.
In the Huliaipole sector, there were 22 attacks near Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Myrne, and Sviatopetrivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy launched three attacks near Tokmachka, Stepove, and Shcherbaky." Ukrin
