Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks has described it as "the most damaging summer storm in recent memory". Earlier this evening, it said more than 43,000 homes in Scotland were without power.
There’s been major disruption on the railway - some of which will continue into tomorrow morning, according to ScotRail.
There have also been a number of road closures due to fallen trees, as well as flight and ferry cancellations.

"151 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Russian invaders were recorded on the front line.
Russian troops carried out air strikes on the areas of Arkhypivka in the Chernihiv Region, Dobropillia and Ivanopil in the Donetsk Region, Bilohiria, Uspenivka, and Malokaterynivka in the Zaporizhzhia Region, and Olhivka in the Kherson Region.
The Air Force, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck seven areas where personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated, as well as a radar station and one important object belonging to the invaders.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian defenders repelled 18 Russian attacks. The enemy carried out 14 air strikes, using 26 guided bombs, and carried out 417 shelling attacks, six of which were with multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the Russian army made nine attempts to break through the defense lines near Vovchansk, Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, and toward Kozacha Lopan, Hoptivka, and Kolodiazne.
Nine enemy attacks took place in the Kupiansk sector. Defense forces repelled Russian assaults in the areas of Holubivka, Zahryzove, and Lozova.
In the Lyman sector, Russian troops attacked 28 times, trying to break through the Ukrainian defense near the settlements of Hrekivka, Myrne, Kolodiazi, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, and toward Dronivka, Hryhorivka, and Serebrianka.
In the Siversk sector, the Russians made nine attempts to advance in the areas of Hryhorivka, Verkhniokamianske, and Vyimka.
