"A powerful summer tropical downpour at the height of the monsoon season has hit Tokyo. Record amounts of rainfall in a short period of time have flooded the Japanese capital. Subway stations, underground parking lots and shopping malls have been flooded. Local authorities
have ordered disaster alarms to be sounded.
Heavy rains have caused widespread flooding in the Kanto and Tohoku regions, with some areas of Tokyo receiving more than 100 mm (4 inches) of rain in one hour. More than 110 mm of rainfall was also recorded in the Nakano region in one hour. About 120 mm (4.72 inches) had fallen in the Suginami region by 7:00 PM local time, and 100 mm (3.94 inches) by the same time in the Meguro region. Germany accuses China of targeting aircraft with laser over Red Sea

"Continuous heavy rain since the evening of July 11th caused the Pad River to overflow and flood Nam Pad District, affecting three sub-districts: Den Lek, with six villages and 175
households; Ban Fai, with two villages and 18 households; and Saen To, with two villages and 18 households, totaling over 200 households. Approximately 1,900 rai of agricultural land was damaged, with Den Lek experiencing the most damage, with over 1,120 rai. Water levels in some areas rose by more than 1 meter, causing several roads leading to the village to be submerged, particularly Highway 1176, kilometer 11, and Highway 1045, Huai Phang Nga Bridge, which were inundated and impassable. Furthermore, Highway No. 1176, kilometer 11, is flooded. Officers have installed cones and roadblocks, along with warning signs, to avoid the route. Residents in Ban Noi, Ban Fai Subdistrict, Nam Pat District, Uttaradit Province, are suffering from the overflowing Nam Pat River, which has flooded their agricultural areas. Some residents were unable to move their belongings. Electrical equipment was severely damaged, while the 316th Border Patrol Police Company and volunteer soldiers were mobilized to distribute food boxes, drinking water, and flat-bottomed boats, as well as evacuate bedridden patients from vulnerable areas."

"A line of tornado-warned storms brought flash flooding, large hail, and damaging winds to eastern Iowa on July 11, 2025, with 109.2 mm (4.3 inches) of rainfall reported in Davenport and 137 km/h (85 mph) gusts in Cascade. A series of severe storms affected eastern Iowa on July 11, bringing very heavy rainfall, flash flooding, large hail, and damaging winds. The
National Weather Service (NWS) issued multiple warnings, including a rare Flash Flood Emergency for parts of the Quad Cities Metro area. 
The city of Davenport in Scott County recorded 109.2 mm (4.3 inches) of rainfall through July 11, most of which fell during the evening hours. In nearby Bettendorf, rainfall totaled 88.9 mm (3.5 inches). In western Iowa, severe threats will begin around 12:30 p.m. and remain until 9 p.m. Near Atlantic, storm chances will begin around 1 p.m. and remain until 10 p.m. In Waterloo, storms chances are greatest from about 2-7 p.m. Places like Algona, Fort Dodge and Mason City are not expected to see any severe weather. Threats include tornadoes, hail and wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour." NW

"Ukrainian Defense Forces engaged in 200 combat clashes with Russian troops along the front lines.
Airstrikes targeted settlements such as Boyaro-Lezhachi, Shostka, and Khomyne in Sumy region; Lisne and Vilkhuvatka in Kharkiv region; Charivne, Novoandriivka, Plavni, Prymorske, and Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia region; and Kozatske in Kherson region.
In response,
Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck 10 clusters of enemy personnel and equipment, two artillery systems, one command post, and one command and observation post.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, 18 combat engagements occurred; the
Russians carried out 21 airstrikes, dropped 38 guided bombs, and conducted 323 shellings, including eight with MLRS.
