Thailand is underwater today -- Massive floods sweep away buildings in Chiang Rai
"Thailand's Chiang Rai province is battling severe flooding following continuous heavy rain overnight which continued into the morning. The heavy rain caused flash floods and mountain overflows in several districts, with Phaya Mengrai and Wiang Chai being the worst-hit. A large volume of rainwater rushed down from the surrounding mountains into low-lying areas, causing a sudden rise in water levels and widespread waterlogging. Residents were forced to evacuate quickly and move belongings to higher ground. In many areas, flooding reached waist-high, with strong currents damaging property and sweeping away belongings." HAG

Emergency declaration after heavy rainfall causes widespread flooding and evacuations in western Venezuela
"Heavy rainfall associated with tropical waves 8 and 9 caused severe floods and landslidesacross western Venezuela displacing over 4 700 people and prompting a national emergency declaration. The states of Mérida, Trujillo, and Táchira were among the most affected.
Tropical Wave 9 interacting with the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) brought intense rainfall to Venezuela resulting in severe floods, landslides, and river overflows across multiple states.
The Andean states of Mérida, Trujillo, and Táchira were among the worst hit. In Mérida, zones including Tabay, Mucuchíes, and Mucurubá experienced evacuations as rising waters cut off roads and triggered slope collapses. The Barinas-Mérida highway was closed due to mudslides and tree falls, isolating parts of the state.
Landslides were also reported in San Miguel, Niquitao, Mosquey, and across the parishes of Guaramacal and Vega de Guaramacal, complicating access and raising risks to rural populations." Warchers

Massive 6.9 Earthquake Strikes Philippines – The Philippine Trench Is Stirring!
"At exactly 7:07 in the morning on a quiet Saturday morning, the ground beneath the sea near Sarangani Island in Davao Occidental trembled with the force of a magnitude 6.9 earthquake. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) confirmed the event, tracing the epicenter roughly 98 kilometers southeast of Sarangani Island. After a few minutes, it is downgraded to 6.4, then to 6.1, though maybe it will go up or down again. The quake struck from a shallow depth of just 10 kilometers (6 miles) and was triggered by tectonic movements deep within the Earth's crust. But this wasn’t just another tremor. It struck dangerously close to the Philippine Trench, one of the most volatile subduction zones on Earth. For decades, scientists have warned that this trench holds the potential for devastating megathrust earthquakes, the kind that reshape coastlines and rewrite history. Now, with this powerful quake erupting near its edge, many are asking the same question: Is this a warning shot from the deep?" AM
