Ukrainian strikes on oil depot, military targets in Crimea

"Ukraine’s Defense Forces have carried out new precision strikes on Russia’s fuel and energy

infrastructure facilities and military targets in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Ukraine’s Defense Forces units attacked an oil depot in the village of Hvardiiske. A fire broke out at the facility after a direct hit on an RVS-2000 fuel tank.
A successful strike was also carried out on the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Hvardiiske Combine of the Russian State Reserve located in the village of Karierne, Saky district.
Among other targets hit were a Russian military fuel and lubricant storage site in Dzhankoi and a Nebo-U radar station in Yevpatoria." Ukrin

Strong 5.0-magnitude earthquake strikes Alaska as evacuations are ordered in typhoon-ravaged towns

"Alaska has been hit by a strong 5.0 magnitude earthquake, just days after remnants of

Typhoon Halong brought a record storm surge to western Alaska on Sunday.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) detected the quake at 11:48am ET, about 39 miles off the coast of Akutan, which is home to nearly 1,600 people.
The seismic activity to the south comes as thousands of people living in the northwestern region of Alaska are being airlifted to safety.
The record storm surge battered their low-lying communities over the weekend, wiping away homes and killing at least one person." msn

Trump had taken to his Truth Social platform around 40 minutes prior to the Russian confirmation to announce that he was engaged in an “ongoing” and “lengthy” call with Putin.
The discussion between the two leaders comes amid escalating tensions between Moscow and Washington over Trump’s suggestion that he could provide long-range Tomahawk missiles – capable of striking deep into Russia – to Ukraine, ahead of his planned meeting with Vladimir Zelensky on Friday.
Moscow has condemned the potential move and warned that it would obliterate the diplomatic goodwill established between Russia and the US without changing the situation on the frontline."

"Ukrainian Defense Forces engaged in 178 clashes with Russian invaders,
Russian aviation struck the settlements of Stepnohirsk (Zaporizhzhia region), Kozatske (Kherson region), and the city of Mykolaiv.
Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and artillery hit 14 clusters of enemy personnel and equipment, one UAV control post, six artillery units, and another critical target.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, two clashes occurred; the enemy launched 13 airstrikes using 29 guided bombs and 228 artillery attacks, including 20 with MLRS.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the Russian carried out 15 attacks near Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Kamianka, Kolodiazne, Bolohivka, and Kutkivka.
