White House Pressures Syria To Normalize Ties with Israel Amid 'Quiet Talks'
"President Trump believes Syria may soon join the Abraham Accords, based on comments given to reporters by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Friday. The reasoning seems to be that with Assad out, this provides an opportunity to control the outcome and force Damascus to make peace with Israel. After all, Syria under the Assad family was the single fiercest, longtime enemy of Israel, with a de facto state of war on for half-a-century, centered on the occupied Golan Heights.
"One of President Trump’s main requests during his meeting with President Sharaa was for Syria to join the Abraham Accords," Leavitt said. "Achieving a lasting peace in the Middle East is a core objective for this administration."
Sharaa had reportedly told US Representative Cory Mills during a visit in April that Syria was open to joining the accords under the "right conditions."
US Special Envoy to Syria Thomas Barrack has also been bringing the pressure. He has recently referenced quiet discussions with Damascus underway, amid the reopening of the ambassador's residence in Damascus - a first since 2012.
Barrack encouraged the international community to give Syria's new leadership "an opportunity to prove its new direction." ZeroHedge

Massive 6.9 Earthquake Strikes Philippines – The Philippine Trench Is Stirring!
"At exactly 7:07 in the morning on a quiet Saturday morning, the ground beneath the sea near Sarangani Island in Davao Occidental trembled with the force of a magnitude 6.9 earthquake. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) confirmed the event, tracing the epicenter roughly 98 kilometers southeast of Sarangani Island. After a few minutes, it is downgraded to 6.4, then to 6.1, though maybe it will go up or down again. The quake struck from a shallow depth of just 10 kilometers (6 miles) and was triggered by tectonic movements deep within the Earth's crust. But this wasn’t just another tremor. It struck dangerously close to the Philippine Trench, one of the most volatile subduction zones on Earth. For decades, scientists have warned that this trench holds the potential for devastating megathrust earthquakes, the kind that reshape coastlines and rewrite history. Now, with this powerful quake erupting near its edge, many are asking the same question: Is this a warning shot from the deep?" AM

Only Political Engineering Can Restore Russian Language Rights In Ukraine Like Lavrov Wants
"Only the US is capable of pulling this off since Russia lacks influence over Ukraine’s political processes...Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov pledged in early June on Russian Language Day that “Russia will not leave Russians and Russian-speaking people in trouble and will make sure that their legal rights, including the right to speak their native language, are restored in full. We will continue to speak about this pressing problem on international platforms. We will insist on having it resolved as a prerequisite for a lasting peaceful settlement of the Ukraine conflict.”This aligns with Russia’s denazification goal and was included in the memo for ending the conflict that it handed to Ukraine during the second round of their newly resumed bilateral talks in Istanbul. Objectively speaking, the restoration of full Russian language rights in Ukraine is required for a sustainable peace, but this can only be brought about via legislative changes. Therein lies the problem since the Rada isn’t interested in repealing 2019’s “state language law” that entered into force in early 2022.
For precisely this reason, Russia’s memo also calls for elections to the Rada in parallel with those for the presidency, though there still wouldn’t be any guarantee that Russian-friendly forces (in the context of repealing the aforementioned law) would come to power for implementing that pragmatic demand. That’s why political engineering is ultimately required for restoring full Russian language rights in Ukraine, but Russia lacks influence over its political processes as proven by its inability to effect change.
Therefore, this part of Russia’s denazification goal might not be met unless the US takes on this responsibility, which it’d be wise to do so as to remove the roots of another conflict. After all, so long as Russian language rights aren’t fully restored, the Kremlin will keep championing this cause and possibly even consider covert action of some sort in pursuit of it. The millions of discriminated Russian speakers in Ukraine could provide a fertile recruiting ground for such operations after martial law is lifted." ZeroHedge

MASSIVE GLOBAL ENERGY PULSE HAPPENING NOW
"A massive pulse of energy was just received across Eurasia - picked up by three Schumannresonances stations - days after energy from a stellar nova explosion ~5000 ly away (V462 Lupi) occurred, and just after a large daylight meteorite streaked across the South East USA. During the seven hours the energy pulse was resonating, people around the world experienced a pulse of insight and greater consciousness. The energy increase was specifically registered in the foundational mode of the Schumann resonances, Earth's naturally resonate wavelengths of light, and the frequency shifted from 7.8 to 8.4 Hz. Schumann resonances and human brainwaves perfectly overlap in frequency and intensity." SB

Trump shared a compassionate exchange Wednesday with a Ukrainian journalist
"President Trump shared a compassionate exchange Wednesday with a Ukrainian journalist who said her husband was a soldier — as she asked whether the US would supply the embattled country with Patriot missiles in its war against Moscow.
Before addressing her question, Trump asked Petsa: “Are you living, yourself, now in Ukraine?”“My husband is there,” she said. “And me with the kids, I’m in Warsaw [Poland], actually. Because he wanted me to.”
“Is your husband a soldier?” Trump asked, to which Petsa answered: “He is.”
“He’s there now?” the president asked again, with Petsa responding affirmatively.
A visibly moved Trump responded, “Wow, that’s rough stuff, right? That’s tough.”
Trump then went on to affirm that Kyiv wants to buy the weapons from the US — and pledged that “we’re going to see if we can make some available.”
“You know, they’re very hard to get. We need them too,” the president continued. “We were supplying them to Israel, and they’re very effective — 100% effective. Hard to believe how effective. And they do want that more than any other thing, as you probably know.”
“That’s a very good question, and I wish you a lot of luck,” Trump told Petsa. “I mean, I can see it’s very upsetting to you. Say hello to your husband, OK? Thank you,” the president added before taking more questions." NYP

China THREATENS Iran
"Have the Iranians already begun to 'close' the Strait of Hormuz? New reports from China -- and an apparent sotto voce warning from Beijing to Tehran -- suggest that the IRGC may have already deployed their opening salvo to render the strait impassable....several commercial ships had to turn around after their navigation systems got jammed. That included two tankers servicing China's insatiable energy appetite. The problem with this method is that it will likely be easier to track back to its sources, and Israeli and American fighters can target and destroy the transmitters and whoever is operating them. The US Navy could still target Iranian naval vessels as a reprisal, but Trump will likely want to hold off on that unless absolutely necessary, as any wreckage could hinder shipping.
Much of their energy exports go to China, and they are not happy about the new developments in the Strait of Hormuz. "The China Shipowners’ Association told its members in a statement to immediately start submitting daily reports on their ship movements through the Gulf of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz. Beijing also called on the international community to maintain stability in the critical shipping lanes of the Persian Gulf, and said it was in touch with Iran about the ongoing conflict.
That may be Beijing's normally subtle method of signaling displeasure in public. The "China Shipowners Association" has to operate under the aegis of the Chinese Communist Party and the regime in Beijing, if not operating as a direct arm of the CCP. Being "in touch" after their shipping gets disrupted is not just going to be a "hi how are you" conversation with the regime." HA

No justification for attack on Iran – Putin
"Israeli and US hostilities against Iran are groundless and unjustifiable, Russian President Vladimir Putin has told Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
The top Iranian diplomat, who landed in Moscow and met with the Russian president on Monday, said earlier that the visit was needed for “closer, more precise, and more serious consultations” with Russia, in the wake of the US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
During the meeting at the Kremlin, Putin described the attacks on Iran as “an unprovoked aggression,” for which “there can be no justification.” RT

380,000+ Trapped as Deadly Flooding Submerges Manila, Philippines
"Metro Manila (Philippines) was hit hard by hours of relentless rain, flooding major roads andleaving entire neighborhoods underwater. The downpour began late afternoon and quickly overwhelmed drainage systems, turning streets into rivers. Light vehicles were stranded or submerged as floodwaters rose rapidly. In Quezon City’s Banawe Street, water reached chest level, forcing motorists to abandon their vehicles. Motorcyclists sought shelter under overpasses and near MRT sites, leading to severe traffic gridlock across the metro. Sampaloc, Manila, saw knee-deep flooding, while surrounding areas like Caloocan, Valenzuela, Malabon, Navotas, Muntinlupa, Marikina, Mandaluyong, and San Juan also suffered intense rain and rising waters. The situation grew worse as the rain continued into the night." Xtreme
