"Torrential rains in Guizhou Province, especially in Leishan County, triggered severe flooding that led to bridge collapses, power outages, and mass evacuations. River levels, including the Duliu River, broke historical records, with over 200 millimeters of rainfall falling within just a few hours. Flooding also affected other areas such as Kaili, Rongjiang, and Congjiang, where landslides, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to transport and communication were reported. Authorities issued the highest-level alert, deployed rescue teams and humanitarian aid, and recovery efforts are already underway." KNnews
