Ukraine PM's resignation stuns lawmakers

"Yulia Svyrydenko confirmed on July 12 that she would step down as Ukraine’s Prime Minister following President Volodymyr Zelensky's announcement of a government reshuffle.
Her resignation comes as a surprise to some lawmakers in Zelensky's Servant of the People party, fueling speculation about the real motive behind the decision.

Iran Army Soldiers Flee HQ - U.S. Strikes IRGC Nuclear Town

"This is now a large uh operation in the central and western parts of Iran. The army of the Islamic Republic uh have now fled the headquarters and their main bases as they are now they've been told to basically evacuate because they they believe that the the Americans might start to target those areas.

Historic floods hit Missouri

"Authorities in Missouri recovered the body of a woman. The victim was reportedly swept away by floodwaters on July 10 as catastrophic flooding struck much of southeastern Missouri. Over 30 cm (12 inches) of rainfall was recorded in parts of the region in 24 hours,

while the Black River rose to record heights. Hundreds of rescues were conducted across the state, with the relief operation still ongoing.
Authorities recovered the body of a missing Missouri flood victim from Huzzah Creek, ending a search launched after catastrophic flash flooding swept through Crawford County.
The woman was swept away by floodwaters on July 10 and was reported missing. Law enforcement personnel assigned to the search operation were immediately notified. Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Steelville Fire Protection District, Quad County Fire Protection District, and the Crawford County Coroner also responded to recover the victim." "A strong magnitude 5.5 earthquake occurred in the South Pacific Ocean near Southern East Pacific Rise late in the evening at 11.29 pm local time (GMT -8). The depth of the quake could not be determined, but is assumed to be shallow. The quake was not felt (or at least not reported so)." VD

260 frontline clashes over past day

"A total of 260 combat engagements between Ukraine's Defense Forces and Russian troops were recorded along the frontline.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian troops repelled eight attacks near Vovchansk, Lyman, and Starytsia, as well as toward Hryhorivka, Karaichne, Ivanivka, and Malyi Burluk.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian assaults. Russian forces also carried out one airstrike involving three guided aerial bombs and shelled Ukrainian positions and settlements 76 times, including two attacks with multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops launched four attacks near Kupiansk and Podoly, as well as toward Borivska Andriivka and Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 11 attacks near Lyman, Stavky, and Dibrova, as well as toward Novoselivka and Druzheliubivka.
In the Sloviansk sector, Russian forces carried out 23 assaults near Pyskunivka, Kryva Luka, Zakitne, and Riznykivka, as well as toward Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops attacked 10 times near Tykhonivka, and toward Fedorivka Druha, Malynivka, and Nykyforivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 attacks near Kostiantynivka and Illinivka, and toward Ivanopillia and Rusyn Yar.
The Pokrovsk sector remained the focal point of Russian offensive operations, with Ukrainian troops stopping 44 assaults. Fighting was reported near Novooleksandrivka, Shakhove, Bilytske, Rodynske, and Serhiivka, as well as toward Nove Shakhove, Hryshyne, Kucheriv Yar, Sofiivka, Nykanorivka, Dorozhnie, Novyi Donbas, Kamianka, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Udachne, and Novopidhorodnie.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian forces launched three attacks toward Voskresenka, Oleksandrohrad, and Piddubne.
