"261 combat engagements between Ukrainian forces and Russian invaders were recorded along the front line on August 5, with the fiercest fighting continuing in the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk sectors.
On the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk axes, seven combat engagements took place. Russian forces carried out two airstrikes, dropping four guided bombs, and launched 75 attacks, including 19 with multiple launch rocket systems.
On the Southern Slobozhanshchyna axis, Russian troops launched 12 attacks near Starytsia and Vovchansk and toward Khatnie, Ternova, Zemlianyi Yar, and Ivashkyne.
On the Kupiansk axis, Russian forces launched 11 attacks toward Kupiansk, Kindrashivka, Novoosynove, and Shyikivka.
