Trump, European leaders threaten ‘massive’ sanctions if Putin doesn’t accept 30-day cease-fire by Monday

"President Trump and European leaders demanded Russian strongman Vladimir Putin agree to a 30-day cease-fire with Ukraine starting Monday, or face “massive” sanctions and bolstered military support for Kyiv.

The ultimatum came Saturday out of Kyiv, where Volodymyr Zelensky sat down with the “Coalition of the Willing” — French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer — to discuss the US-led cease-fire plan.
The group was also joined by leaders from more over 30 countries, the European Union and NATO who tuned in remotely, the Ukrainian president said."

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces stormed Ukrainian defensive positions near Vovchansk six times.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops launched three assaults. The Defense Forces successfully repelled enemy advances near Zahryzove and Nova Kruhliakivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russian forces attempted to push forward 17 times, targeting areas near Lypove, Ridkodub, and Yampolivka, as well as advancing toward Hrekivka, Novyi Myr, and Zelena Dolyna.

In the Siversk sector, the enemy carried out eight attacks throughout the day, striking Ukrainian defensive positions near Bilohorivka, Hryhorivka, and Verkhniokamianske.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 65 Russian offensives in multiple areas, including Oleksandropil, Novotoretske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Nova Poltavka, Promin, Yelyzavetivka, Dachanske, Zvirove, Kotliarivka, Andriivka, Lysivka, Novoserhiivka, as well as in the direction of Muravka, Zoria, Myroliubivka, Malynivka, Novomykolaivka, and Troitske.
In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian defense forces repelled 31 attacks near the settlements of Bahatyr, Kostiantynopil, Odradne, Rivne, Novosilka, Vilne Pole, Pryvilne and in the direction of Novopil, Shevchenko, Zelene Pole.

India and Pakistan Claim to Shoot Down Each Other’s Drones as Kashmir Clash Continues

"The conflict between India and Pakistan continued on Thursday, with each side accusing the other of using drones to attack military targets in a major escalation of hostilities.
The Pakistani military claimed it was able to shoot down 25 of India’s Israeli-made Harop drones overnight. A civilian was reportedly killed, and several soldiers were injured, by debris from the destroyed drones.

The Harop is a long-range drone that can “loiter” over a target site for hours, gathering information or attacking high-value targets by detonating their explosive payloads.
The Indian Armed Forces (IAF) is one of Israel’s major clients for drone technology. The IAF reportedly purchased dozens of Harop drones beginning in 2009, at a cost of around $10 million apiece, so if Pakistan really shot down 25 of them, it would represent a significant depletion of India’s drone capability.
Pakistan said the Indian drones went after military targets, including an air-defense radar system in Lahore. India’s “Operation Sindoor” strikes, launched on Tuesday night in response to a brutal April 22 terrorist attack in Kashmir, carefully refrained from hitting Pakistani military facilities to avoid escalation."
