Drone strike wounds 13 in Tigray capital as fears of renewed war grow
"A drone strike on Mekelle, the capital of Ethiopia’s Tigray region, injured at least 13 people, including five children, a hospital official said Thursday. The attack comes amid growing tensions between federal and Tigrayan forces and fears the region could slide back into war.
The drone strike hit Mekelle according to Tigrayan authorities, with residents reporting damage to homes in a residential neighbourhood.
Almaz Wedu, a farmer, described the moment the roof of her home collapsed around her.

202 Combat Engagements Recorded on Front Line
"202 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian forces were recorded on the front line over the past day.
Ukrainian Defense Forces aviation, missile forces and artillery struck 12 areas where Russian personnel were concentrated, as well as two artillery systems and two communications systems.
On the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, four combat engagements were recorded. Russian forces carried out 71 attacks and launched four airstrikes using 10 guided glide bombs.
On the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, Ukrainian units repelled 19 attacks. Russian forces attempted to advance toward Izbytske, Radkivka, Kovalivka, Okhrimivka, Karaichne, Bochkove, Budarky, and Mytrofanivka.
On the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces launched one offensive action toward Podoly.
