Russian agent sentenced to 15 years in prison for coordinating enemy strikes on Kharkiv

"A Russian military intelligence agent who coordinated missile strikes on Kharkiv in the summer of 2023 was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The SSU officers exposed the enemy agent in July 2023. The investigation established that a local unemployed man recruited by the
Russians was responsible for coordinating the shelling.
He came to the attention of
Russia’s GRU when he posted anti-Ukrainian messages in Telegram chat rooms.
After being recruited, the perpetrator systematically surveyed Kharkiv to identify, record, and transmit the geolocations of
Ukrainian troops’ temporary bases to his handler in Russia.
At the same time, the traitor attempted to track the locations and technical condition of defense facilities, railway stations, and railcar depots.
SSU officers documented the agent’s crimes and detained him while he was conducting further reconnaissance near a military facility. Mobile phones and computer equipment containing evidence of his collaboration with Russia’s GRU were seized from the man." Ukrin
