French, German, Polish leaders to visit Moldova amid fears of Russian election interference

"The leaders of
France, Germany, and Poland are set to visit Moldova  to demonstrate support ahead of the start of the parliamentary election campaign, AFP reported.
French
President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk are expected to meet with Moldovan President Maia Sandu as Moldova marks the 34th anniversary of its independence.

Rare hailstorm blankets Ripiro Beach, Northland, New Zealand

"A highly localized hailstorm transformed a section of Ripiro Beach in Northland,
New Zealand, into an icy landscape on August 23. The event occurred at approximately 17:00 LT as two fishermen returned from Kaipara Harbour and encountered the accumulation north of Pouto Point Lighthouse.
Eyewitness David Bishop from Kerikeri said the scene resembled a “winter wonderland,” with hail stretching from the waterline into the dunes. In some places, the accumulation reached about 5 cm (2 inches) in depth. The coverage was confined to a narrow zone, with no hail observed around the lighthouse or further north along the 110 km (68 miles) beach." W

Yesterday, 13 clashes were recorded in the Kramatorsk sector, with the occupiers attempting to advance in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, and toward Stupochky and Predtechino.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out six attacks in the areas of Dyliivka, Toretsk, Rusyn Yar, and Oleksandro-Kalynove.
In the Pokrovsk sector, defenders stopped 43 assaults by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Nykanorivka, Maiak, Myroliubivka, Novoekonomichne, Rodynske, Hrodivka, Sukhyi Yar, Lysivka, Chunyshyne, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Horikhove, and Dachne.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the enemy carried out 19 attacks yesterday in the areas of the settlements of Yalta, Zelenyi Hai, Voskresenka, Shevchenko, and Komyshuvakha.
In the Huliaipole sector, there was an attack by Russians in the Malynivka area.
