"The leaders of France, Germany, and Poland are set to visit Moldova to demonstrate support ahead of the start of the parliamentary election campaign, AFP reported.
French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk are expected to meet with Moldovan President Maia Sandu as Moldova marks the 34th anniversary of its independence.
The visit comes amid what the Moldovan presidency described as Russia ramping up its "interference activities ahead of the high-stakes elections" scheduled for September." KI
