"In the Irkutsk Oblast of Russia, the aggressor country, a death from pneumonic plague—a dangerous airborne infection with a high fatality rate—has been reported. An employee of a local anti-plague institute died from the disease.
The “People of Lake Baikal” project reported that 28-year-old Daria Shipilova died at a hospital in the city of Shelekhov. A week earlier, she had broken a test tube containing the pathogen responsible for pneumonic plague.
On the same day, law enforcement officers began escorting ambulances transporting people who had been in contact with Shipilova for testing.
Sources at “People of Lake Baikal” reported that as of October 2, approximately 200 people are suspected of having been in contact with Shipilova.

French school protesters threaten to burn down Elysee Palace
"A French protester was arrested on Friday after he threatened to burn down the Élysée Palace in Paris, as high school demonstrations across the country escalated.
Angry young people marched in the streets, set bins and school entrances on fire, and clashed with riot police in violent scuffles.They did so in defiance of Emmanuel Macron, whose government has battled to contain increasingly violent protests over classroom conditions and funding.
By early afternoon, the education ministry reported protests impacting 560 schools.
