"Dozens of people were killed or injured after the U.S. launched a major airstrike campaign

against Yemeni-based Houthi militants, with President Donald Trump personally observing the operation as it unfolded.
The strikes hit Yemen shortly after Trump announced a “decisive and powerful military action” against the Houthis on Saturday, warning that “hell will rain down” on them unless they stop attacking U.S. interests and disrupting international commercial navigation in the region.

" A total of 148 combat engagements have been recorded throughout the past day on the Ukrainian battlefield.

Enemy airstrikes targeted the areas of Zakharivka, Khrypuny, and Kozacha Lopan in Kharkiv region; Ivanopillia, Bohatyr, Serhiivka, Pokrovsk, Novoukrainka, Sukhyi Yar, Novo-olenivka, Nova Poltavka, Horikhove, Oleksiivka, Leontovychi, Novopavlivka, Myrnohrad, and Novopil in Donetsk region; Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, and Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhia region.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy eight times stormed the positions of the Ukrainian troops in the Vovchansk area and towards Petrivka.
The Defense Forces repelled the assaults near Zahryzove, Lozova, and Kopanky in the Kupiansk direction where four attacks were recorded.
The enemy tried to advance 16 times in the Lyman direction, trying to wedge into the Ukrainian defenses near the settlements of Balka Zhuravka, Ivanivka, Nadiia, Yampolivka, and Hryhorivka.
Two enemy offensives were repelled in the Siversk direction as the invaders tried to advance in the Verkhniokamianske and Ivano-Daryivka areas.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russians attacked in the Orikhovo-Vasylivka area.
The enemy went for 17 assaults in the Toretsk direction in the areas of Toretsk and Druzhba.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders held back 36 offensive efforts near Sukha Balka, Oleksandropil, Novotoretske, Yelyzavetivka, Svyrydonivka, Promin, Kotlyne, Uspenivka, Nadiivka, and Andriivka.
Ukraine’s Defense forces repelled 14 attacks in the Novopavlivka direction as the invaders attempted to advance near Kostiantynopil and Rozlyv.
In the Huliaypole direction, the invaders launched four attacks in the areas of Novopil and Novosilka.
In the Orikhiv direction, the Russians attacked the Ukrainian positions 15 times in the areas of Stepove, Pyatykhatky, Shcherbaky, Zherebianky, and Kamianske.
The Russians made four unsuccessful attempts to attack the positions of Ukrainian units in the Prydniprovia direction.
Over the past day, 19 clashes took place in Kursk region, where the Russians launched 34 airstrikes, dropping 63 guided bombs and carried out 243 artillery strikes, including five involving multiple launch rocket launchers." Ukrin

"As the United States continues to attempt to broker a ceasefire deal between Russia and Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he spoke with the Vatican secretary of state.

In a long post on X March 14, the Ukrainian leader said that during the conversation with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, "I wished Pope Francis a speedy recovery and thanked him for his prayers and moral support for our people, as well as for his efforts in facilitating the return of Ukrainian children illegally deported and displaced by Russia. The Holy See has received a list of Ukrainians being held in Russian prisons and camps. We are counting on support for their release," the president posted.

"Since the beginning of the day, 81 combat engagements have occurred between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops. Fighting continues in six sectors of the front, with the most intense battles taking place in the Toretsk and Novopavlivka directions.
Russian forces shelled Medvedivka, Karpovychi, Yanzhulivka, Vovkivka, Rozhkovychi, Komarivka, Baranivka, Shalyhyne, and Dmytrivka in Chernihiv and Sumy regions using artillery and mortars.

In the Kharkiv sector, four engagements took place near Vovchansk, one battle is ongoing.
In the Kupiansk sector, the Russians are attempting to breach the defense near Zahryzove, the combat is ongoing.

Ukrainian soldiers held their ground, having repelled 20 attacks, with one engagement still ongoing.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the enemy attempted seven breakthroughs near Rozlyv, with three engagements still continuing.
In the Huliaipole sector, the enemy, with the support of assault aviation, is attacking near Novopil. The enemy also launched unguided aviation rockets at Huliaipole.
In the Prydniprovske sector, Russian forces made four unsuccessful attempts to attack Ukrainian positions.

Pakistani Separatists Attack Train With Over 400 People On Board, Conduct Mass Killings

"One of the most brazen terror attacks and hostage standoffs the world has ever seen played out on Tuesday into Wednesday. The shocking incident in Pakistan's restive southwestern region involved a separatist Islamist group attacking and taking control of a large passenger train.

Some 450 passengers were travelling on the train from Quetta to Peshawar when it was attacked Tuesday by militants of the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). The group took a number of hostages after halting the train. Many bystanders are still missing.
Soon after the train had entered a tunnel, "intense gunfire" was unleashed by the militants. There had actually ben over 100 passengers on the train who were members of Pakistani security forces, but it's unclear whether many of these personnel were armed at the time.
Pakistani special forces were among the first to respond to the scene, also amid helicopter cover overhead, and a shootout ensued. But it ended in tragedy. While at least 35 militants were killed, some 100 civilians were reportedly executed by the terrorists.
