launched a drone attack on Kyiv overnight on Oct. 26, killing at least three people,
and injuring at least 29 others, including seven children, in strikes on residential buildings in the city, Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported.
Multiple explosions were heard in Kyiv starting around 2:35 a.m. local time, according to Kyiv Independent journalists on the ground. Officials noted that air defenses were activated within the city amid the attack." KI

"181 combat engagements occurred between Ukraine’s Defense Forces and Russian troops.
Russian airstrikes targeted, among other locations, the settlements of Danylivka, Pokrovske, and Bratske in Dnipropetrovsk region, Huliaipole and Pavlivka in Zaporizhzhia region, and Kozatske in Kherson region.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, five combat engagements occurred; the enemy carried out13 airstrikes with 26 guided bombs and 150 shellings including five from MLRS.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces made 11 attempts to breach defensive lines near Vovchansk, Krasne Pershe, Stroivka, and toward Bolohivka, Kolodiazne, and Dvorichanske.
In the Kupiansk sector, eight attacks were repelled near Pishchane and Bohuslavka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, one engagement was recorded near Stupochky.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces conducted 22 attacks near Oleksandro-Shultyno, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, and toward Kostiantynivka and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, 76 assaults were repelled near Shakhove, Volodymyrivka, Pankivka, Mayak, Sukhy Yar, Zvirove, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novoekonomichne, Chervonyi Lyman, Promin, Balahan, Novopavlivka, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka, Filia, and Dachne.

Two earthquakes rattle Russia

"Two earthquakes shook Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula. The ongoing seismic activity in Russia’s Kamchatka region highlights the persistent threat posed by the Pacific Ring of Fire, a tectonic zone responsible for frequent and sometimes catastrophic earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
The pair of earthquakes that struck were both moderate in strength, measuring at 5.2 and 5.3 magnitude, according to the USGS.
The USGS has recorded at least 13 distinct earthquakes off the Kamchatka Peninsula in early October, ranging from magnitude 4.4 to 6.1 and at depths of 6 to 46 miles, about 10 to 75 kilometers." Newsweek

unless he sees a clear path to a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
"We're going to have to know that we're going to make a deal. I'm not going to be wasting my time," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One. "I've always had a great relationship with Vladimir Putin, but this has been very disappointing."
Trump said he had expected peace in Ukraine to be easier to achieve than other diplomatic breakthroughs. "I thought this would have gone long before peace in the Middle East… if you look at India and Pakistan, I could say almost any one of the deals that I've already done, I thought would have been more difficult than Russia and Ukraine. But it didn't work out that way.

"Authorities in Mexico confirmed the discovery of 48 bags with human remains so far at the most recent clandestine gravesite in the cartel-controlled state of Jalisco. The state is

controlled by Cartel Jalisco New Generation, one of the six Mexican cartels designated as foreign terrorist organizations by the Trump administration.
This week, the Jalisco Attorney General’s Office revealed that they had discovered so far a total of 48 bags filled with human remains at a clandestine gravesite in a rural part of the outskirts of the city of Zapopan. This city is adjacent to the state capital of Guadalajara and has become part of a large metropolitan area.
According to authorities, they have not been able to determine how many bodies are in those 48 bags, and officials have not yet been able to identify the victims. The case highlights the widespread massacres that CJNG has carried out. The terrorist organization has been linked to numerous killing fields and thousands of abductions where the victims have never been found."

"A Chinese fighter jet and a Royal Australian Air Force maritime patrol aircraft had an “unsafe and unprofessional” interaction as the two operated over the waters of the South China Sea, Canberra officials said Monday.
A People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) Su-35 fighter released flares twice near an Australian P-8A aircraft near the Paracel Islands. It is the second time this year that such an incident has occurred.

Overnight Drone Attack Hits Moscow High-Rise As Putin Warns Of 'Overwhelming' Response

"The attack on a Moscow suburb was part of a broader wave of overnight drone attacks which hit multiple regions across the country, injuring at least five people, including a child, when one drone slammed into an apartment building near Moscow.

According to Moscow region Governor Andrei Vorobyov, the drone hit a 14th-floor apartment in a high-rise building in the city of Krasnogorsk, northwest of the capital.
Russia's Defense Ministry said that air defense forces intercepted and destroyed over 110 Ukrainian UAVs over 13 regions overnight. Several drones were also shot down as they approached the capital.
Power outages resulted in some Russian areas, particularly the Rostov region, and drone impacts were reported also in Bryansk, Kaluga, Tula, and Tver.
Meanwhile President Vladimir Putin has warned:
