Zelensky's Sacked Top Aide 'Escapes' To Front-Line To 'Hide' From Corruption Investigators

"Andriy Yermak, the man who until just over 24 hours ago was Zelensky's right hand man
and the president's top most powerful aid as chief of staff, and
Ukraine's appointed chief negotiator with the US on the peace process, is going to the front lines, apparently to "fight".
After his home and offices were raided by
Ukraine's anti-corruption investigators Friday related to the ongoing massive energy sector kickback scandal, Yermak announced by text message to The New York Post, "I’m going to the front and am prepared for any reprisals." He followed with, "I am an honest and decent person."
The Post added further, "He then apologized if he no longer answers calls. He did not say when or how he intended to go to the frontlines of the war against Russia." Interestingly, when the teams of NABU and SAP agents searched his office on Friday, this was just meters away from President Zelensky's own office." ZeroHedge

Mystery Blasts Rock Russia-Linked Oil Tankers Off Turkey’s Coast

"Explosions rocked two tankers sanctioned for carrying Russian oil, the latest in a spate of blasts on such vessels, sparking a rescue operation off Turkey’s Black Sea coast.
The 900-foot Kairos was en route from
Egypt to Russia when it suffered a blast and caught fire, according to Turkish authorities. Emergency response vessels managed to evacuate the 25 crew members. Meanwhile, the 820-foot Virat began spewing heavy smoke from its engine room after being hit at a point farther east along the coast. The 20 personnel on board were in good condition, authorities said.
The exact cause of each of the explosions was unclear but
Turkey’s transport minister said he had been informed they were the result of “external impact.”
“It can be a mine or a drone or a sea drone. These are all possible,” Abdulkadir Uraloglu said in a television interview." WSJ

Shahed drone factory goes up in flames in Tatarstan as Alabuga facility burns

"A major fire broke out in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Tatarstan, where production facilities linked in particular to the manufacturing of strike drones are located.
Russian
local media reported a serious fire at a battery warehouse in the Alabuga SEZ in Tatarstan. The blaze covered an area of about 1,000 square meters.
According to regional emergency services, more than 300 people left the premises without assistance from rescuers, and the evacuation was carried out in an orderly manner.
Fire crews were working at the scene, tasked with containing the blaze across a large area due to the nature of the stored materials.
According to preliminary information, the fire broke out on the grounds of one of the facilities used in assembling unmanned systems, including Shahed-type drones that
Russia actively employs in strikes on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure.
Ukrainian
Defense Forces have carried out strikes on Russian facilities involved in producing components for Kalibr missiles and Shahed drones, including the VNIIRE-Progress plant in Cheboksary, which manufactures navigation equipment and parts for cruise and ballistic missiles." RSB

Zelensky Sacks Chief of Staff Hours After Anti-Corruption Police Raided Home

"Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said he was acting to get ahead of “rumours and speculation” as he dismissed his chief of staff and lead peace negotiator after his home was raided by counter-corruption police.
Volodymyr Zelensky’s long-time political ally and chief of staff Andriy Yermak left the Ukrainian government on Friday afternoon, the latest such departure over a months-long corruption scandal which has already seen two other government ministers resign and President Zelensky’s former business partner flee the country.
Officers from Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) raided Yermak’s Kyiv home on Friday morning. He said he was cooperating with authorities and no specific allegations were made, but just hours later tended his resignation to the President. This was made official on Friday night as Zelensky promulgated a Presidential Decree which read: “Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 868/2025… To dismiss YERMAK Andriy Borysovych from the position of Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.”
President Zelensky said he would now “reboot” the Office of the President of Ukraine, which until today Yermak had led as chief of staff."
