"More than 1000 rescuers were dispatched to Taiping town in central China's Henan province on July 2,
Chinese media reported, after heavy rain caused a nearby river to burst its banks, killing eight people in a flash flood and leaving many still missing. By the morning of July 3, several trains into the Chinese capital Beijing had been delayed, while numerous flights were delayed and canceled at a Beijing airport." EW
