Chaos in Italy and Spain! Half of Brescia and Albacete were swept away by hailstorm.

"A severe thunderstorm struck the Italian  plains of Brescia and the Prealps. Heavy hail in Carpenedolo covered roads with snow, but caused no significant damage. A yellow warning remained in effect for most of the region. 

As forecasters predicted, severe weather returned to the plains of Brescia and the Prealps on Friday evening, August 1st. Severe thunderstorms struck several areas of the province, bringing heavy rain and, in some cases, heavy hail. Meanwhile, in Spain, hail and severe storms hit several towns in Albacete. Far from the usual heat at this time of year, August began with heavy rain and storms in various areas of the province of Albacete, leaving a stunning scene. The residents of Molinicos (Albacete) watched in amazement as the streets of La Vegallera, one of the town's hamlets, turned into rivers of white, due to the heavy hail that fell during the storm." DW
