Massive drone activity sparks panic as chemical plant and electrical substation catch fire in Moscow region

"Panic swept parts of Russia in the morning. Reports emerged of a large-scale drone attack. The drones allegedly targeted multiple locations across the country. Russian authorities said
their air defense systems intercepted a total of 99 drones. Of these, 47 were reportedly over the Black Sea. The events caused widespread alarm. Fires broke out at a chemical plant in Voskresensk. An electrical substation caught fire in Serpukhov. Both locations are in the Moscow region. Residents described the situation as frightening and chaotic.

At the same time, an electrical substation in Serpukhov caught fire. The fire caused significant power outages across the city and surrounding villages. Areas affected included Raismenivske, Ivantynove, Ignatiev, Kleimenove, Nizhne Shakhlove, Verkhne Shakhlove, Syanovo-2, Voronino, Vykhrove, Gavshino, Tverityne, and two streets in Serpukhov itself. Local authorities initially described the outage as a “technological failure.” Independent reports, however, suggested that the substation was actively burning. This raised questions about the official explanation." msn
