"A very strong magnitude 6.1 earthquake occurred in the South Pacific Ocean 74 km (46 mi) from New Zealand late in the evening at 11.39 pm local time (GMT +13). The quake had a moderate depth of 184 km (114 mi) and was not felt (or at least not reported so)." VD
