"A very strong magnitude 6.0 earthquake occurred in the Tasman Sea 172 km (107 mi) from New Zealand in the morning at 11.44 am local time (GMT +11). The quake had a very shallow depth of 13.7 km (8 mi) and was not felt (or at least not reported so)." VD
