261 clashes on front lines in past day

"261 combat engagements between Ukrainian forces and Russian invaders were recorded along the front line on August 5, with the fiercest fighting continuing in the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk sectors.
On the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk axes, seven combat engagements took place.
Russian forces carried out two airstrikes, dropping four guided bombs, and launched 75 attacks, including 19 with multiple launch rocket systems.
On the Southern Slobozhanshchyna axis,
Russian troops launched 12 attacks near Starytsia and Vovchansk and toward Khatnie, Ternova, Zemlianyi Yar, and Ivashkyne.
On the Kupiansk axis,
Russian forces launched 11 attacks toward Kupiansk, Kindrashivka, Novoosynove, and Shyikivka.
On the Lyman axis, the enemy attempted to break through
Ukrainian defenses 14 times, attacking toward Novoselivka, Lyman, Dibrova, Shyikivka, and Ozerne.
On the Sloviansk axis,
Russian troops launched 14 assaults near Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Riznykivka, and toward Pyskunivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
On the Kramatorsk axis,
Russian forces carried out two offensive operations near Nykyforivka and toward Yurkivka.
On the Kostiantynivka axis, the enemy launched 29 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Stepanivka, Toretske, and Sofiivka, as well as toward Novopavlivka, Dovha Balka, Vilne, and Nove Shakhove.
On the Pokrovsk axis,
Ukrainian defenders repelled 29 Russian assaults near Dorozhnie, Kotlyne, and Udachne, and toward Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Shevchenko, Vasylivka, and Serhiivka.
On the Oleksandrivka axis,
Russian forces launched one attack toward Oleksandrohrad.
On the Huliaipole axis, the enemy attacked
Ukrainian positions 11 times toward Dobropillia, Tsvitkove, Hirke, and Staroukrainka, as well as near Danylivka, Charivne, and Novoselivka.
On the Orikhiv axis,
Ukrainian forces repelled four Russian attempts to advance toward Mala Tokmachka and Pavlivka.
