'Mass murder' plot to assassinate Donald Tusk uncovered

"A man has been arrested in Poland over an alleged plot to kill Donald Tusk and his defence minister.

The suspect was detained in Lower Silesia, a province bordering Germany and the Czech Republic, after security chiefs received a tip-off about the possible attempt on the Polish prime minister’s life.
The plot involved involved firearms and a “planned mass murder”, according Onet.pl, a Polish news site belonging to Axel Springer, the owner of The Telegraph.
“The man who threatened to carry out an attack has been arrested. I would like to thank the police for their swift and decisive action,” Mr Tusk said.
Onet.pl said the state protection service had received an email warning about an assassination attempt against the prime minister and defense minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, which was verified and forwarded to the police." msn
