Magnitude 5.7 earthquake hits off Japan coast

"An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 rocked off the coast of the Honshu Island in Japan, the
European-Mediterranean Seismological Center said.

According to it, the epicenter was located 76 km northeast of the city of Ishinomaki, where about 117,000 people live. The source was located at a depth of 50 km." AP
