However, he added that after the Alaska meeting there was a pause from the US side, which he attributed to Ukraine’s rejection of Trump’s draft. This is why the “modernized plan” containing 28 points appeared later, Putin said, adding that Moscow has the document.
“I believe it could also form the basis of a final peace settlement. But this text is not being discussed with us in substance,” Putin said.
