"A strong magnitude 5.4 earthquake hit 138 km (86 mi) away from Kokopo, East New Britain Province, Papua New Guinea, in the afternoon  at 4.23 pm local time (Pacific/Port Moresby GMT +10). The quake had a shallow depth of 41 km (26 mi) and was reported felt by some people near the epicenter." VD
