"A strong magnitude 5.4 earthquake occurred in the Philippine Sea 89 km (55 mi) from Japan in the evening at 8.12 pm local time (GMT +9). The quake had a very shallow depth of 26 km (16 mi) and was not felt (or at least not reported so)." VD
