"A strong magnitude 5.3 earthquake hit 1,264 km (785 mi) away from Blenheim, Marlborough, New Zealand, in the early morning at 4.03 am local time (GMT +12). The quake had a very shallow depth of 35 km (22 mi) and was not felt (or at least not reported so)." VD
