"A strong magnitude 5.8 earthquake occurred in the Bering Sea near the coast of Alaska, United States, in the late afternoon at 7.42 pm local time (GMT -9). The quake had a very shallow depth of 26 km (16 mi) and was not felt (or at least not reported so)." VD
