"A strong magnitude 5.5 earthquake occurred in the South Pacific Ocean 226 km (140 mi) from Chile in the early morning at 6.12 am local time (GMT -5). The quake had a shallow depth of 35 km (22 mi) and was not felt (or at least not reported so)." VD
