"A very strong magnitude 6.3 earthquake occurred in the North Pacific Ocean 72 km (45 mi) from Costa Rica in the early morning at 3.38 am local time (GMT -6). The quake had a moderate depth of 155 km (96 mi) and was not felt (or at least not reported so)." VD
