"A very strong magnitude 6.1 earthquake occurred in the Coral Sea near Espiritu Santo island, Vanuatu, around noon at 1.24 pm local time (Pacific/Efate GMT +11). The quake had a moderate depth of 116 km (72 mi) and was felt by many near the epicenter." VD
